Here we go again

Well, I'll just say it now: For New Years Eve, I took a shower, watched Bridget Jones, drank some chammomile tea and started reading East of Eden. Then went to sleep at about 12:30. Pretty wild.

Welcome to 2007.

California was great. I had a good time hanging out with my family. It was a pretty low-key Christmas, but it was god to be away from Utah. I'll be honest, it was hard getting on that plane to come back.

My birthday is on Monday and I am terrified. For some reason turning 23 is so scary. I don't know why. It's not that old. I know this. But it's the first time I have ever felt that aging panic-the kind where you feel like you're still 18, but can't remember how you got to 23. When did this happen? I swear I was just barely starting college. Seriously though, when?

Yesterday I got outside and ran. It was like 25 degrees out, but I had to. I felt gross and I didn't want to go to the gym and fight all the New Years Resolutioners for a treadmill. Forget that. I went to the nearby high school and ran around the track. It felt really good. Later, I tried to be really hard-core and play tennis for a while. That did NOT feel good-actually, I couldn't feel anything since my entire body was numb. I couldn't even hold my racquet, I was so cold. Tennis didn't last long.

I'm into this new show on TBS called My Boys. Now this is a show I can relate to. Girl who is just one of the guys. Good show, but I feel for PJ. Being one the guys is so beat.

I wish Grey's Anatomy would stop pissing me off and air some new episodes.

My life is boring right now. Not that it's ever been that exciting. But right now, it's really boring. I wish I had some pictures to post. Maybe I'll go take some today.

Any ideas for what to do for the dreaded 23rd birthday?

Two options for your birthday...

After work:
1) go on splits with the local sister missionaries; or
2) go snowboarding alone at brighton.

either one, I'll be impressed.

Good Bri. You have good New Year resolutions. For your birthday you should go to your favorite restaurant and then rent your favorite movie--no more Bridget Jones though--try the original BBC Pride and Prejudice. It's the best.

I was just going to call you and tell you we HAVE to play tennis when I get back.We can play in the indoor place, I won't play outside when it's that cold, serio. I'll warn you now though, I'm probably on the tip top of my game, watch out. Also wanted to tell you I've been running here everyday since it's 75 degrees so I have to keep it up in Utah, NO EXCUSES and I will drag you with me. 23 isn't old Bri, I know you know that. They only get worse every year as long as we are STILL single and getting hammered by family and friends about not being married. Why is it such a big deal?
