Movie Marathon

I saw a lot of movies this weekend.

Some were good,

Others were not,

Into the Wild was so, so good. Such a sad, but awesome story. I love Catherine Keener and she's great in this. Everyone is great in it. I couldn't decide if I felt sorry for Christopher, or annoyed. He was so bitter towards his parents, you couldn't help but feel bad for him and his inability to detach himself from their problems. But, towards the end, I really thought he was being incredibly selfish, like his entire journey wasn't so much of a quest for self-discovery as it was a quest to piss off his parents. Maybe it was both.

Ok, Indiana Jones is a movie I could have walked out of had I been there alone. My mom and I decided to see it early Friday night and I about died having to sit through all 5 hours of it. For those who may want to see it and haven't (I'd recommend saving your $10, or opting for *Speed Racer in IMAX, which shows the Twilight trailer) I won't get into any spoiler info here, but let's just say Steven Spielberg may have forgotten this was a sequel to the Indiana Jones franchise and not E.T 2: Phone Home. I'm just saying.

Other movies viewed this weekend:

Made of Honor - Predictable. But P. Dempsey is a dreamboat so worth it.

What Happens in Vegas: Diaz is looking old these days. Not going to lie though, I covet her arms. Best part of the movie is at the very end, during the credits : "YOU KNOW WHY." Lake Bell was the best part of this movie. Hilarious.

Waitress: It was ok. Not as good as I thought it would be, but decent. Elton is in it and he's amazing as Keri Russell's semi-abusive husband.

See, I told you it was a lot.

*I have not personally seen Speed Racer, however, I might have heard that the Twilight trailer was showing before it and I might have snuck into the IMAX Theater on my way out of What Happens in Vegas to see it.

Fame Whore

Can someone please tell Denise Richards to just stop it, already.

I mean, is she serious? Does she have no shame? I've seen her on Larry King, the Today Show, the View, and now....TRL? WTF? I understand she is promoting her *reality show, but let's be honest. All she is doing is creating a venue in which she can show off how great a mother she is to her two kids, all the while venting about her ex-husband, Charlie Sheen, in an effort to, what? Gain sympathy? Make money? It's all quite annoying. Anyone who goes on Larry King for an hour, spewing off accusations and ranting about the moral misgivings of their ex husband is lame to me.
Real classy, Denise Richards. No one feels bad for you.
* Please television producers, stop giving reality shows to these kind of people. It's like the worst form of enabling there is.

State of my affairs...

I have nothing to talk about. I could go on and start blogging about how good Gossip Girl was last night, but that just seems pathetic. I'll just say that it's a really good thing Blake Lively and Penn Badgely are together in real life. And on a related note, I read somewhere today that Penn Badgely is named after the tennis balls. Love it.
I've lost 6 pounds since switching to Diet Coke.
I have a reoccurring dream that I have to go back to high school. Last night I dreamt I went to lunch with my old Vice Principal, Mr. Peterson who kept asking me if I was going to run for student body president again. What does this mean?
Last Friday I colored my hair the lightest it's ever been. During the blow dry, I asked my stylist if she thought my eyebrows were too dark for my new hair color. She said we could dye my eyebrows and see what it looks like. They turned out ok However, it's been like 3 days and I can already see my dark eyebrows growing through. I might have her dye them back before my eyebrows look like Madonna's roots, circa Blond Ambition Tour 1990.
I love how it's been 110 degrees in Vegas the last 3 days. Feels real good.
Blogger keeps messing up my formatting. Why can't things just work the way they're supposed to?

Did anyone see this?

Omg. This was so funny. And he missed both these free throws. What a loser.

Economic Stimulus In Action

Thank you, George. W. Bush. I received my stimulus check today via direct deposit and I'm thankful. And althogh I have no doubts this stimulus package will do little to help this disastrous economy you've left us with, you can be sure it will be put to good use at an Apple store near me.

Cheers,

Brianne Olsen

It's piling up

My mental "To Do" list is getting ridiculous. Not only is it getting longer and longer, there have been some items on it that have been listed for months. I am such a loser.

Here's a little taste:

1. Shred a ginormous stack of credit card applications.

2.Find homes for 4 kittens.

3. Clean the kitchen floors.

4. Get my brakes fixed (on the list since 2007)

5. Get oil changed

6. Organize closet-take clothes to DI

7. Create filing system of all bills, bank statements, etc.

8. Find a new place to live

9. Figure out where that place needs to be

10. Find a new job in said new place.

I hate it when you have so much to do that is so overwhelming and you end up not doing anything. Story of my life. I don't even know where to begin.

Top Ten

Iron Man

Ever since I saw Only You with Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr., I've sort of always had a thing for him. Even through his drug addiction days, I thought he was just adorable. A few years ago, I even dated a guy that looked exactly like him. Looking back, I think that's really the only reason I was interested-because he looked like RDJ. That and he was also in a band. I mean, really, I was completely enamoured.
So you can imagine my delight to see RDJ all up in the movie making business again with Iron Man. I guarantee you, if he wasn't in this movie, I would be rolling my eyes in defiance to see it. But he makes it look so good and funny and cool that I'm very excited to check it out.
I really don't know why they casted Gwyneth Paltrow though. I'm sorry, I think she's a bore.
