Happy Christmas

Shannon and Brad came up from Phoenix to hang out with me this Christmas since I wasn't going to be going home. It's been a little bit weird not being home, but that's life. We were planning on going snowboarding today at Sundance but a snow storm, 30 mph winds and 20 degree temps made us reconsider. So we're going to see The Curious Case of Benjamin Button instead.  I'd rather go see Twilight but no one else seemed to be into that idea.

Hope everyone is enjoying their holiday.

I was going to go see that movie tonight also, but then it started snowing. It's like a blizzard out there up here.

We saw TCCOBB last night. I had mixed emotions about the film. They focused so much on all the metaphors and symbolism (clock, buttons, dancing, sea, hurricane, etc, etc and their relationship to the meaning of life) that I sort of got lost a bit. There was so much going on at one time. I had a hard time connecting with any one character, Daisy young, or Daisy old, the daughter, Benjamin, the mother, and on and on. It did seem to drag a bit in the middle and although I went along with the storyline itself, the movie didn't leave me wanting to see it again.

yeah we ended up not going. Even though the movie theater is literally 30 seconds down the street from my place, it was crazy snowing outside and we didn't want to deal. Even for 30 seconds.

Snow makes me never want to leave my house. I did see Benjamin Button though.. it was alright, but be prepared for a looong movie. Like Lord of the Rings long. Brad Pitt did a pretty good job though. See it for him.
