Saturday night, Dan Sam, Morgan and I went out on a little double date.

We ate dinner at Chili's. I'm sorry, Chili's may be the most generic place to eat ever (next to the Olive Garden, of course), but their fajitas are so, so good. I like their chips and queso, too. So I don't even care. This is Utah. Options are limited at 10:00 PM.
After dinner we tried to go to this pumpkin patch in Lehi but we ended up getting there right as they were closing. Too bad because if there's anything Utah Valley does right, it's Halloween. I don't know what it is about down there but they have the craziest Halloween stuff going on. A couple weekends ago, we went to the Haunted Forest in American Fork. Let me tell you, I about peed my pants, it was THAT scary. I think Utah in general does Halloween pretty well. Around September, all these "Halloween Boutiques" start popping up in empty commercial spaces. Like, in the empty space that Office Max used to be in before it went out of business, all of a sudden there's this huge Halloween store. And then by November 1, they disappear. It's quite bizarre actually.
Anyway, after our failed attempt at the Pumpkin Patch, we went to Harmon's and picked up a couple pumpkins and a carving kit. I got a little ambitious and tried to carve out a bat design, but I don't think it turned out very well. I broke both of the carving knives in the process, too. Oops.
I like fall.
