Not well

I have strep throat and it is quite possibly the most miserable thing ever. EVER.

I don't get sick very often, but when I do, it's horrible. I've been living off Ibuprofen, cough drops and Jamba Juice for the last 3 days. Luckily I got some antibiotics so hopefully those start kicking in and get rid of this.

Update: I just read on webmd that anitibotics don't necessarily get rid of symptoms. They just prevent spreading it to others. According to them, I still have 2-10 days of suffering. Fun.

I'm going to go ahead and delurk, because I don't want what happened the last time I had strep to happen to ANYONE else.

I got strep throat when I first moved to AZ last May. The practitioner warned me that the antibiotics she gave me would kill ALL of the bacteria in my body, including the "good" bacteria in my lady parts. I didn't think anything of it until 2 nights later when I thought I was going to die of an infection named after the ingredient you put in bread to make it rise... Don't make me say it.

Being sick is the worst. Feel better.

Yeah Bri, you do know how to get sick. Remember that one time, with those things, and then the drugs and the yelling. You know.
