People keep asking me what I think about this whole Miss California USA thing. Here's what I think: It was a catch-22 question. She was screwed no matter which way she answered it. I think asking a question like was done to intentionally peg her and make her look controversial. You know Perez Hilton was just waiting to set her up to either take his side or not. It was a question meant for his benefit, not the pageant. Either way she answered it, he looked like either the victim or the activist. Although, I do think she could have maneuvered
her way out of it without taking one side or the other. Her PR people should have prepped her for something like that.
Anyways, I feel bad for her, actually. I may not agree with her necessarily, but still. She didn't stand a chance and that's not fair.
Perez Hilton kinda bugs me now.

I agree. I was actually watching the show live (pathetic) and as soon as the question was asked, I was like, aw man it's over for her.
I mean, good for her for bring true to herself, but I do think that her PR people should have prepped for her that. It is a hot topic right now, especially in California.
Oooohh..I got very heated over this whole thing. I was going to post about it, but I was too upset and didn't know where to start. I have since stopped reading Perez Hilton. He is such a hypocrite and is chastising people for not agreeing with him. Plus, he bashes Mormons and comes up with the brilliant plan of boycotting Sundance because it happens to be in Utah. What an ignorant prick.
Anyways...I agree, she was screwed either way and PR people totally should have seen this coming. A.) She's from California. B.) Perez Hilton is a judge.
But, she answered the question with what SHE believed. You cannot knock ANYONE for that. It's such a heated issue and she was in the position to represent A LOT of people. That's not fair at all.
All I can say, is that freedom of speech is obviously dead.
I have heard a little about this but what was the exact question and what did she say....I guess I could google it.
I agree. No matter anyone's view on gay marriage... Perez Hilton is obnoxious and the question was mean spirited. That's my issue with it. Oh - and Miss California is clearly an idiot and didn't articulate her response well. Opposite marriage? What?
