Could it be any hotter?
That's what Chandler from Friends would say because it is freaking HOT here.

AND to add to the misery, our office's air conditioning has decided to stop working in the north end of the building. Guess whose on the north end? That's exactly right, me. Lame. I can't get anything done because it is so hot in here. I'm actually sweating. There's sweat. Sick. I can't even focus on anything. Yuck. Get me out of here.

You know where it's not hot right now?
San Francisco. I was up there this weekend, courtesy of Amtrak and BART ( I LOVE public transportation, makes me feel like I'm a part of the hectic essence of humanity or something). The weather was beautiful, sunny, breezy and perfectly San Francisco-y. I couldn't get over the fact that it was the middle of summer and I was wearing a hoodie around town. It was so great. I went down to hang with Michelle and my friend from high school, Kaysen. Michelle and I (and her friend Missy) hit up the SFMOMA on Saturday morning, which was awesome. If you're in the area, check it out right now. Big Matisse exhibit showing. Awesome. My favorite though was all the Martin Munkacsi photos. Such a cool era to photograph and he did it so well. I'm really glad we went.

After battling the Union Square traffic, we browsed (fought?) our way through H&M, however I was a little disappointed in the selection. I mean, it's huge, H&M, but I just didn't find anything I HAD to have. Except, I did find this cute little soft metallic draping tank top for $20, so I did get that. But really, that was all I could find. The $7 and one hour it took for us to find parking probably wasn't worth it.

After that exhausting experience, we drove on over the PacBell, I mean SBC, I mean AT&T park for the Giants game. Kaysen had 2 tickets already through her company, so we had to split up for most of the game, but the last few innings, we all sat at the very top of the stadium to watch the Giants (thankfully) hold onto the 4-1 win over Arizona. It was really fun and chilly and perfect. I love Giants games. Probably my favorite sporting event to go to. That park is so pretty. It's cool that the All-Star game is being played there this year. That would be so fun to go to.

The next day, Michelle and I drove down to the Wharf to eat some lunch at Boudins and walk about the Pier. There were a lot of people down there, but it was fun to browse around and remember all the times I've been there as a kid. It's changed a lot since I've been there last, but there's still a few seashell shops, which were my favorite. I would always buy some piece of jewelry made out of shells or maybe a little compact made out of a clam shell or abalone. Now it's a lot of generic t-shirt shops and restaurants, but still, it was fun to go back.

After the Wharf, Michelle drove me over the Bay Bridge so I could get on BART to heard back over to Sacramento. We had to drive all the way into Oakland because the line I needed out of San Francisco doesn't operate on Sundays. But it didn't take too long and I had no problems getting back up to Sacramento. The trip totally reminded me of the trains in Europe. It's too bad more people don't use the trains in the U.S. It's such a pleasant, easy and cheap way to travel. Anyway, thanks for Michelle for being a great hostess and for driving me over to Oakland!

Now it's back in Vegas.

It's still hot.

Here are some pictures. I didn't take as many as I wanted. Oh well...

Um..I don't know how to center these once I've uploaded them so sorry the format is all weird.

Bri, the richmond line may not run on sundays, but there are still trains that take you to macarthur or oakland city; and then you TRANSFER to the train to richmond.

For next time...
