It's All Relative

I am a Sledder....and Federer Rules the world.

Yeah I went sledding last night. Utah State has a really cool campus and one the best features is Old Main Hill, which is one heck of a hill to hike up to school, but is perfect for sledding. Now, I don't usually sled. I have only been, I think, 1 time, when I was like 7 and it was up at Eskimo Hill (a landmark of the Redding scene). I remember being cold, eating cookies in the car and being really scared to actually go down the hill on a sled. So, last night wasn't much different to my earlier experience. I was cold and really scared to go down the hill. The thing about old main hill is that at the bottom, it just drops off into the street....there isn't really any flat bottom to, you know, to slow down and come to a stop. No, no. there is about a 2 foot drop onto the street and if you don't bail at just the right time, you WILL run into a parked car and tumble onto the icy pavement. Needless to say, I sucked it up and went and it was really fun. The last time down I nearly knocked over a few people, but they were just standing there, like, uninterested in getting out of the way, so I was like "Do you want me to hit you?" I had a lot of speed so I had to frantically bail off my sled before I flew over the ledge and onto the hood of some car. It was fun though. Yeah, I'd do it again.
After sledding, we went over to a friends house to watch the Australian Open Final at 1:30 in the morning....you know, because of the time difference. It was a great matchup. Marcos Baghdatis v. Roger Federer. Baghdatis was the unseeded player from Cyprus who took out Roddick and Nalbandian. Pretty cool that he got to the final, but let's be honest....did anyone really think he could beat Federer? Well, the kid pulled out the 1st set, but he got worked the next three and Federer took home his 7th Slam victory. We watched the entire match, I went to sleep at 5:30. Pretty hardcore. Federer was amazing. He's now halfway to Pete Sampras' record of 14. He'll do it. He literally dominates and I feel bad saying that considering I am in love with Andy Roddick, but Roger just owns everyone right now. It's quite amazing. I am going to Europe this summer and I am going to do whatever it takes to go to the French Open. How rad would that be??? So rad.
Well, Vegas this weekend. Should be fun. The whole Fam and then some are heading down for a Super Bowl Bash at Christians. Hope he's ready for us.....
